Story of the Day

In a year where the world forcibly came crashing down,

we wouldn’t let it stop us from starting to build something together.

It started long before a proposal

A world stopped meant an all digital path ahead.

Consultations for the ring went digital, Michael was barely able to see the final ring, although I became quite familiar with it through zoom, phone calls and endless email threads.

Michael drew and exchanged renderings for months

Now how do you propose during a pandemic?

Fast forward to the end of July where we had tried to escape lockdown to a cottage in Port Carling, Ontario

When arrived to a beautiful August long weekend sunset where I looked forward to dropping down to a knee during one of these magical sunsets during one of the following nights.

it then rained for the next 4 days straight,

Our second last night around the fire

Our second last night provided a dry and warm night regardless of how wet the ground was.

We spent the day down on the dock with Ollie in full vacation mode, as the sun set the overcast skies provided

That night we talked for hours around the fire and then I finally decided the moment was perfect and dropped to a knee.

Engaged!
